Airbus BizLab in Bengaluru has shortlisted seven startups as part of the second edition of its accelerator programme. These startups have been selected out of 137 applicants from nine countries.
Five of the seven selected are from Bengaluru. The startups include Earth2Orbit, a geo-intelligence data products startup, eFlight, which offers services that allow a business aircraft pilot to easily plan, log and fly, Neewee, an industrial analytics firm focused on internet of things and procurement analytics, Stelae Technologies, which is into artificial intelligence, and SYmbosim, which uses state-of-the-art math, science, cloud computing and engineer-friendly interfaces for design of composite materials and structures.
“The overwhelming response to our Bengaluru Call for Applications, the quality of ideas and the passion of entrepreneurs, it’s just quite something. Each startup we have selected carries the potential to shape the future of aerospace. Our job is to help them realize their potential,“ said Bruno Gutierres, global head of Airbus BizLab.
The 6-month programme offers access to a large number of Airbus coaches, technical and business experts and mentors in various domains, free hosting, and a demo day with Airbus decision makers, venture capitalists, Airbus customers and partners.
Airbus BizLab is a global aerospace business accelerator with facilities in Toulouse (France) and Hamburg (Germany) besides Bengaluru, where startups and Airbus “intrapreneurs” (internal entrepreneurs) can work together to speed up transforming their innovative ideas into valuable businesses.
It offers wide-ranging support to selected early-stage projects in the form of a 6-month acceleration programme. The companies have access to a number of Airbus coaches, technical and business experts and mentors in various domains, free hosting, and a Demo Day with Airbus decision makers, venture capitalists, Airbus customers, and partners.
