GetFunded, a Lucknow-based platform helping startups from ideation to scaling, has invested an undisclosed sum in city-based Corn Juntion.
Corn Juntion operates a restaurant offering healthy food products. It mainly focuses on products made from corn.
The startup will use the pre-seed capital to expand and rework its strategies and present corn “in very tasty, zingy, and healthy flavours”.
Corn Junction co-founder Ajay Chaurasia said next year, the firm will open the door for over 50 small farmers to grow sweet corn over an area of 100+ acres in Eastern UP. It will be the hub for supplying fresh, natural sweet corn to Corn Junction’s various outlets.
It will also expand its outlets up to 100 in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur, among others, which eventually will generate over 140 employment opportunities for youngsters.
GetFunded was co-founded by the mother-son duo of Aparna and Aditya Mishra. Aparna has been in the startup ecosystem for many years and gathered a good experience of working and mentoring startups from across India.
GetFunded looks forward to supporting more startups in their first year.
“We thought of starting a dedicated platform GetFunded to provide solutions to the startup communities which will have answers to all their queries and doubts regarding new and existing ventures,” said Aparna. “With GetFunded, we aim to reach out to millions of startups, upcoming new ventures, and entrepreneurs to help them in doing sustainable businesses.”
