ESPI (Education Promotion Society for India) in association with AACSB is scheduled to host a dean’s panel discussion on November 20, 2020, from 5:45 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. IST aimed at promoting the competitiveness of Indian business schools globally. The virtual event named Making Indian Business Schools Globally Competitive will offer an opportunity to unleash valuable insights from deans leading some of the best schools in India and abroad.

The discussion focuses on dynamic shifts taking place in higher education governance and business school autonomy due to the newly announced National Education Policy (NEP-2020). The new policy perceived as an opportunity for collaboration will lead the conversation delving on the competitive forces shaping the industry.

For more than a century, AACSB’s accreditation framework has guided schools in their quest to provide high-quality business education. Fourteen schools in India have achieved this mark of distinction, with several more currently seeking accreditation. The event emphasizing the positive societal impact of learning and research will showcase the thoughts of adroit panelists including Dipak Jain, President (European) and Professor of Marketing, CEIBS; Gerry George, Dean, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University; Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Bengaluru; Ranjan Banerjee, Dean, SPJIMR, Mumbai.

AACSB’s accreditation process throwing light on a strong international network to connect Indian business schools to global partners will also be a part of the discussion. The event to be moderated by Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur will witness EPSI’s advocacy work for the autonomy of Indian higher education, along with their expertise in higher education policy, that will help shape the future of business education in India.
